About the UN Global Compact
Launched in 2000, the Global Compact is a both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. As a multi-stakeholder leadership initiative, it seeks to align business operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and to catalyze actions in support of broader UN goals. With over 8,000 signatories in more than 135 countries, it is the world's largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative.
About CSR Europe
CSR Europe is the leading European business network for corporate social responsibility with around 70 multinational corporations and 27 national partner organizations as members. Originally founded in 1995 by senior European business leaders in response to an appeal by the European Commission President Jacques Delors, its mission today is to support companies in integrating CSR into the way they do business, everyday.
Mission: CSR Europe acts as the European platform for companies and their stakeholders to exchange and cooperate to make themselves and Europe global leaders in sustainable competitiveness and societal wellbeing.
